Galaxy S4 Mini confirmed on Samsung's UK apps page

Following numerous rumours and leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini has appeared on the company’s official apps page in the UK.

The smaller and scaled back version of the flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone has yet to be officially confirmed by Samsung, but various reports have suggested it’s on the way this July.

The phone’s appearance on the UK Content & Services website seems to end any lingering doubt.

No specs have revealed, and there’s no sign of a release date and, as Engadget reports, the phone is only appearing on the UK website at present, which hints at a European launch.

Big brother

The launch of the Galaxy S4 mini follow’s last year’s Galaxy S3 mini, which sought to lower the cost, but offer all of the same software features while maintaining the design aesthetic in a smaller body.

That handset didn’t perform quite as well as its illustrious big brother, critically and commercially, so it’ll be interesting to see what Samsung comes up with when it officially unveils the Galaxy S4 mini.
